I also encourage you to look at something being presented and try to think of it in a different perspective. If the company is spending money on a document management solution for control and risk management, how will it also benefit the business from an efficiency and perhaps revenue generating perspective?
If these are the sort of things that come to mind, your stereotype or perspective of document capture is similar to the majority of the people out there
I enjoy bringing a business perspective to ERM projects, because despite all the fear, uncertainty, and doubt, records exist to support the business, not the other way around
Because the technology is made available in the cloud, there is limited infrastructure investment, so it's favorable from a capital expenditure perspective and breaks down barriers to entry especially for SMB organizatoins who often can't justify bringing in niche technology
